1. Read Ch. 1, Sect. 2 (p. 13-18) in your U.S. history textbook.

2. Write down 5 key points for each of the four red headings in this section (20 points total). Follow the RED HEADING/KEY POINTS format that I showed you in class. Refer to the reference handout for an example.
