Assignment: Become an expert on your region for the map project

1) READ the section of the reading packet that pertains to your region ONLY.


2)  Write down 10 KEY POINTS about your region.

• Try to get as much information and detail into your key points.
• Write in complete sentences!
  

3) Write down your answers to the three questions listed below.  (Write the questions too.)

• Your answers should be at least three sentences and as detailed as possible. Be prepared to share your answers with your group tomorrow.
  

• To answer these questions, use the information from the reading packet AND the textbook section that you read last week (Chapter 1, Section 2). You should re-read the section of the textbook that pertains to your region. 
  

1. What was your region’s major role in the 15th century trade networks?

2. What was your region providing to the other regions? This could relate to trade, culture, knowledge, technology, religion, or biological products (disease, plants, animals).

3. What was your region receiving from the other regions? This could relate to trade, culture, knowledge, technology, religion, or biological products (disease, plants, animals).
